Job Description

Position Title: Accounts Receivable Manager (remote)

Contract: Full-time, Independent Contractor/Freelance

Posting Jurisdictions: To support US Eastern Time working hours

Compensation: TBC based on experience and location

Responsibilities:

  • Drives the resolution, collection and disposition of unpaid invoices
  • Fill in for AR billing specialists as required
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of invoices, including billable hours, and partner-specific billing arrangements.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end AR closing activities.
  • Manage and supervise the accounts receivable team, reviewing work with Partners and Senior Managers on the invoicing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Assists the finance and accounting department with billing, tracking, and collections of accounts due and reconciling conflicts
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and implement effective collection strategies
  • Ensure GL accounts are reconciled and discrepancies are corrected
  • Coordinate with teams and stakeholders to address billing issues and disputes
  • Prepare and present regular accounts receivable reports to senior management
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
  • Understanding of revenue recognition principles according to relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
  • 10+ years’ experience working with Accounts Receivable
  • Managerial/Leadership experience
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
