Shape the future of AI in Humor
In this role as an AI Trainer - Humor, you will use your expertise in comedy and humor to help train AI to understand and generate jokes, wit, and humor that resonate with human audiences. This position offers flexible working hours, and you’ll directly influence how AI interprets humor in diverse contexts.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Educate AI: Provide feedback on AI-generated humor, analyzing jokes, puns, and comedic timing for accuracy and relevance.
  • Problem Solving: Use your humor expertise to guide AI through challenges in creating funny and contextually appropriate content.
  • Red Teaming: Identify potential biases or limitations in AI’s sense of humor. Design tests to ensure its humor is culturally relevant and inclusive.
  • You create your own working hours depending on project length.

About You

  • Enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Comedy, Writing, or a related field.
  • Native-level proficiency in humor and comedy.
  • Strong writing skills with excellent English-language spelling and grammar.
  • A critical eye and ability to clearly articulate the strengths and weaknesses of written text.
  • Professional experience as a comedian, writer, editor, or in related roles.
  • Interest in AI and machine learning concepts.

Alignerr strives to ensure pay parity across the organization and discuss compensation transparently. The expected hourly rate range for United States-based candidates is below. Exact compensation varies based on a variety of factors, including skills and competencies, experience, and geographical location.

Pay Range (rate per hour)
$15$150 USD

Important Information

This is a freelance position compensated on an hourly basis. Please note that this is not an internship opportunity. Candidates must be authorized to work in their country of residence, and we do not offer sponsorship for this 1099 contract role. International students on a valid visa may be eligible to apply; however, specific circumstances should be discussed with a tax or immigration advisor.
