Job Description

OUR STORY

Quince was started to challenge the existing idea that nice things should cost a lot. Our mission was simple: create an item of equal or greater quality than the leading luxury brands and sell them at a much lower price.

OUR VALUES

Customer First. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority.

High Quality. True quality is a combination of premium materials and high production standards that everyone can feel good about.

Essential design. We don’t chase trends, and we don’t sell everything. We’re expert curators that find the very best and bring it to you at the lowest prices.

Always a better deal. Through innovation and real price transparency we want to offer the best deal to both our customers and our factory partners.

Environmentally and Socially conscious. We’re committed to sustainable materials and sustainable production methods. That means a cleaner environment and fair wages for factory workers.

OUR TEAM AND SUCCESS

Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We are looking for a hands-on, high-performing Americas Sourcing Manager – Furniture to lead vendor relationships and sourcing strategy for our North America based furniture categories, especially Made-to-Order (MTO) upholstery products. This individual contributor will drive vendor onboarding and development, quality adherence, cost negotiations, and operational excellence across our U.S., Canadian, and Mexican partners, including fabric mills.

This role reports initially to our Head of Global Sourcing and will eventually report to our VP of Home Sourcing. You will partner closely with the Home Merchandising team and lead factory engagement across the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own sourcing strategy and vendor relationships for North America based manufacturers of furniture products (MTO and stocked) and fabric mills
  • Lead cost negotiations, contracts, and margin improvement initiatives with Americas-based suppliers
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new factory partners with high quality, scalable capacity, and reliable lead times
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Planning, and Ops to bring new products to market quickly and reliably
  • Visit key partners regularly to troubleshoot issues, audit quality and delivery performance, and build long-term relationships
  • Drive factory-side product development cycles in collaboration with Design and Merchandising
  • Drive successful order processing with our vendors: reviewing production timelines to ensure vendors are hitting SLAs, working with vendors to accelerate production timelines, optimizing quick ship performance, etc
  • Ensure compliance with ethical sourcing and sustainability standards

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of sourcing experience, with a strong track record in U.S. furniture manufacturing and vendor management
  • Deep understanding of furniture production processes (including MTO and casegoods) and experience in the premium/luxury furniture industry
  • Strong negotiator with commercial acumen and attention to margin optimization
  • Highly organized, autonomous, and adaptable; thrives in fast-paced startup environments
  • Based in the U.S., with ability to travel to vendors 1-2x / month
  • Bonus: experience at higher-end furniture brands or as an e-commerce Category Manager

We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. Bonus eligibility varies by role and is determined based on the position’s impact and contribution to our strategic goals.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
