About the Role:
At Abacus Insights, we’re building something exciting, and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow alongside us. We’re hiring an Analytics Consultant to dive deep into our data ecosystem and help us translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role is ideal for someone with a keen analytical mind, who is data-savvy, and eager to play a crucial role in shaping our healthcare solutions through data-driven strategies.
You Will:
- Work collaboratively across departments to assess operational performance and enhance analytical tools & reporting.
- Integrate and analyze data across the sales pipeline to forecast revenue and identify market opportunities.
- Build and maintain revenue and cost analytics to understand deal margin implications
- Inform pricing strategies for Abacus' data products by analyzing product development and implementation cost data.
- Support the development of healthcare analytics offered within Abacus' data solutions, along with creating related demo materials for sales efforts; key topic areas include medical cost management, value-based care, population health, risk adjustment, and HEDIS/Star rating.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of professional experience in a healthcare related company (payer, provider, vendor, consulting).
- Solid understanding of healthcare industry and financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Adept at working in Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel.
- A strong communicator—clear, polished, and empathetic.
- A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and loves bringing structure to chaos.
Nice to Have:
- Subject matter expertise in healthcare data and analytics used by payers.
- Experience in SQL, Tableau, and PowerBI.
- An interest in healthcare tech, startups, and how companies grow.
- A sense of humor and a love for figuring things out.
