Job Description
Nova 401(k) Associates is seeking an experienced leader to head our Annual Distributions Team, a pivotal role in our organization. As the Annual Distributions Team Leader, you will be at the forefront of ensuring we meet regulatory deadlines for processing required distributions while managing the department's operations effectively.
To excel in this role, you must possess a superior working knowledge of ERISA. Your expertise should encompass a wide array of distribution requests including required minimum distributions (RMD)s, involuntary distributions, corrective distributions and loan defaults. In addition, you should demonstrate the ability to comprehend and interpret upcoming regulations that impact the retirement industry.
Your role will also involve identifying and addressing escalated issues, providing mentorship and guidance to staff, and working with other departments at Nova, including our automation department, to develop and implement enhancements to our existing processes.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage 8-10 staff members
- Champion Nova 401(k) Associates values and policies
- Ensure client and participant satisfaction throughout the distribution process
- Manage the team to meet Nova's overall service standards and regulatory deadlines
- Monitor team productivity through daily report generation
- Develop reports for senior management
- Assist in training and mentoring of junior staff members throughout the year
- Manage daily inflow and outflow of annual distribution requests
- Improve existing processes and assist in developing new processes as needed
- Keep current with new regulations and proposed legislation as well as an awareness of proposed legislation surrounding loans and distributions
- Perform other related duties as required
- Complete performance reviews in a timely manner
- Attend Nova’s leadership & development training in Houston (or other location)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- A minimum of five years of management experience in a fast-paced & high-volume environment
- Relevant industry experience processing or reviewing 401(k) loans/distributions
- Comfortable working online
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Superior organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word
- Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multi-task
- Clean background check
- ASPPA/NIPA industry credentials a plus
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base Salary $90,000-$115,000
- Salaried, non-exempt

Work Location/Hours:
- Work from home
- Must work from USA and be authorized to work for any US employer
- We will supply all necessary computer equipment
- You may choose a start time between 7:30 am and 8:30 am
