About the Role:
As a Salesforce QA Tester, you will be responsible for evaluating and testing Salesforce and enterprise applications & configurations to ensure they meet the required standards of quality and functionality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, administrators, and product managers, to identify and resolve defects and improve the overall user experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and provide feedback during the development process. Participate in the upkeep of QA operations & suggest improvements where needed
- Test Ownership (Planning, Documentation, Execution etc): Collaborate with product owners to define test objectives, strategies, and test plans for Salesforce projects. Create & timely execute detailed test cases and test scripts (inclusive of applicable regressions) based on business requirements to verify the functionality, performance, security, and usability of Salesforce / enterprise applications. Maintain comprehensive test documentation. Aim to achieve a high defect density in the lower environments & take measures & ownership to hedge against leakage
- Defect Identification: Identify, document, and report defects and issues in a clear and concise manner, including steps to reproduce and severity assessment
- Test Data Management: Manage and maintain test data, ensuring data integrity and relevance for testing purposes
- Quality Assurance: Participate in enhancing the overall quality assurance process, including improvements to the testing process, test automation efforts, and the implementation of best practices
- Review Process: Conduct peer reviews of checklists. Participate in post-mortem/root cause analyses for production bugs and share key insights to prevent future occurrences
- Continuous Development: Take ownership of personal performance & development goals. Participate in knowledge sharing activities, including onboarding of new team members & delivering demos on completed projects
- Availability: Be available for standups & misc business calls / scrum ceremonies during the scheduled timing (typically early PST hours)
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a must
- Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM platform and configurations (Sales & Service Cloud) with solid SFDC admin skills
- 3-4 years of experience in manual software testing (preferably with a focus on Salesforce CRM)
- Passion for QA & Strong understanding of the Quality Assurance concepts & processes
- Attention to detail and solid documentation & communications skills. This includes clear, concise & comprehensive test planning, case creation, defect reporting and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies & relevant tools (eg Jira, TestRail etc.)
- A team player who can step in, take ownership & adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
- Knowledge of CPQ, Zuora, Boomi and Netsuite are a plus
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder) are a plus
- Experience with automation, i.e. playwright / selenium is an advantage (nice-to-have)
