Found is seeking a mission-driven Associate Medical Director to support the growth, quality, and clinical excellence of our affiliated nationwide, virtual practice. This leader will directly contribute to our core goals of delivering innovative, technology-enabled obesity medicine at scale—anchored in safety, quality, and provider experience.
The ideal candidate is an experienced physician who brings telemedicine fluency, practice leadership, and a passion for advancing obesity care. You will balance direct patient care, provider quality oversight, and quality assurance responsibilities across a dynamic and rapidly expanding provider team of 100+ physicians and nurse practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Quality Oversight
- Deliver high-quality synchronous and asynchronous obesity care within a collaborative, virtual-first model
- Conduct clinical audits, chart reviews, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Support development and implementation of practice guidelines, policies, and procedures that support the delivery of high-quality, innovative care at scale
- Act as a clinical escalation point for complex cases or adverse events
- Partner with clinical operations and compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence and clinical safety
Provider Support & Performance Management
- Lead Learning and Development initiatives related to provider workflows and quality improvement, such as provider education and collaborative case reviews
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and 1:1 coaching for 1099 physicians and nurse practitioners as needed
- Participate as a physician collaborator in NP collaboration agreements
- Participate in the interviewing and onboarding of new clinicians as the practice grows
- Conduct performance evaluations, participate in peer review processes, and support remediation where needed
- Develop and oversee Pippen’s Clinical Lead program
- Foster a culture of accountability, professional growth, and team cohesion
Provider Enablement & Innovation
- Collaborate with the SVP of Clinical Strategy and Head of Medical Affairs to implement leading clinical guidelines and protocols to enable providers to deliver high-quality care at scale
- Identify opportunities to improve clinical workflows, optimize efficiency, and enhance provider experience
- Contribute to technology development and deployment by offering clinical feedback on product enhancements
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or DO with active board certification in a relevant field
- Completion of an accredited U.S. residency program
- At least 3 years of independent clinical practice experience, preferably with time spent in a start up/health tech environment
- Prior experience in a telemedicine-only environment, including both synchronous and asynchronous care
- Strong command of digital health platforms and a track record of using technology to deliver care
- Demonstrated experience in practice management, provider supervision, or quality and safety programs
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Unencumbered medical licenses, at least 3 active licenses
Preferred Attributes
- Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) or equivalent experience in obesity medicine
- Self-starter with high accountability and comfort navigating ambiguity in a fast-growth setting
- Collaborative leader with experience in partnering with Product and Operations teams
- A passion for delivering innovative, patient-centered obesity care at scale
