As a Quality Engineer, you will…
- Contribute towards the quality of every code release into production.
- Design, implement, document and execute test cases
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to come up with test strategy
- Develop scripts and utilities for use by the QA team
- Ensure we deliver quality products, take and receive criticism, have fun and care about your results, your growth, and team's.
You’ll enjoy this role if you…
- Have owned end-to-end test plans, test framework/architecture and test execution.
- Have led initiatives/projects in quality assurance.
- Created tools, scripts for QA automation.
What you’ll need to be successful…
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- 1-3 years experience in Database testing. Great to have Big Data testing (e.g. pipelines and/or ETL processes) including expertise in but not limited to Hive, Yarn, MapReduce, Kafka, Spark, Oozie. Cloudera Hadoop (CDH) and Impala experience is a big plus
- Experience with Agile development process (eg Scrum)
- Must have strong SQL skills. HiveQL experience is a big plus
- Experiences with Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (eg HBase, MongoDB)
- Experience designing tests in a continuous integration/deployment environment
- Experience with RESTful API testing
- Strong UI / API automation experience is required
- Good to have AI experience in testing and usage of tools like Github Copilot
- Effective communication skills
