The Role

As an Audit Manager or Supervisor at Glenn Burdette, you will lead and manage the execution of audit engagements of various clients in accordance with the relevant regulatory and professional auditing and assurance standards. You will carry out your outstanding project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. You will participate in training and supervision of staff and advise on audit/assurance matters. Our company is team-oriented and prides itself on providing quality work and excellent customer relations in a friendly, superior working environment. Openings are available in a remote environment or in our San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and Santa Maria offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively plan and execute audit/assurance engagements.
  • Identify business process risks and develop recommendations based on audits.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and clients.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate staff on client engagements.
  • Organize and monitor the progress of client engagement in relation to budgets and due dates.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships.
  • Function as communication channel between senior management, clients, and staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of audit/assurance experience.
  • Single audit, not for profit, and for-profit audit experience.
  • Licensed CPA if joining as a Manager. Working towards becoming a licensed CPA if joining as a Supervisor.
  • Experience with Caseware, Engagement Manager, and PPC.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivator with the ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • A strong desire toward career advancement and goal toward future firm ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Governmental audit experience.
  • Experience with Data Snipper and Crunchafi (formerly LeaseCrunch).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

The pay range for this role is $105,000 - $165,000 per year. This range includes the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors, including experience, education, and/or skill level.
