Job Description
Base is planning to bring a million developers and a billion users onchain. We need your help to make that happen.
Integral to that effort is the Base App - a consumer‑facing “everything” app that empowers creators with tools to earn more, grow audiences, and participate in the onchain ecosystem. We believe the onchain platform is the most important builder platform since the internet (“online”). It should be open source, free to use, and globally accessible. To make that vision real, we need a team that scales in a secure, collaborative, and creative way.
At Base we live by our Stay Based values: we do the right thing, work hard, stay optimistic, prioritize the team, and push creative boundaries. We value a Zone 3+ work ethic, where the team leans into meaningful challenges, embraces deep work weeks, and makes thoughtful trade‑offs to drive impact. Base is incubated at Coinbase and built on Optimism’s open‑source OP Stack—we’re the second Core Dev team contributing to the OP Stack, and we commit a portion of sequencer revenue to public goods.
We’re looking for a Creator Success Manager to help top creators thrive on the Base App — driving onboarding, growth, education, and bringing high-quality content onchain. This is a foundational role working directly with the Base Creator Ecosystem Lead to shape our creator strategy and build the playbooks that will scale to millions. You’ll be operating at the bleeding edge of the creator economy and onchain technology, helping launch Coinbase’s new consumer social app, Base and defining how creators earn in the next era of the internet. This is a contractor role with the potential to evolve into a full-time position for the right candidate.
What you’ll be doing
- Source, onboard, and activate creators - Identify high-potential target creators, onboard them to the Base app, and act as their primary point of contact.
- Build & maintain relationships with creators- Develop trusted connections with priority creators, acting as their advocate and representing their interests internally.
- Educate at scale - Create self-serve resources (guides, tutorials, videos) and host group programming (webinars, workshops, office hours) to drive creator success.
- Collaborate cross-functionally - Partner with Product, Marketing, and Ops on creator feedback, product improvements, marketing activations, CRM management, analytics, and reporting.
- Create systems & processes - Develop and refine playbooks, onboarding flows, and operational tools to scale creator success as the Base app grows.
What we look for in you
- 3+ years in creator partnerships, community management, influencer relations, or creator success roles
- Have a strong pulse on internet culture and trends
- Experience managing relationships with talent and driving their growth
- Self-starter, motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative in fast-moving environments
- Crypto-curious and excited about Base’s mission and the future of the creator economy
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to create clear, engaging content (text and video) for creators
- Are a creator yourself is a plus

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
