About the Opportunity

Location: Portugal (Remote) | Department: Product

Responsibilities

  1. Data Model Configuration: Work closely with GTM teams to translate customer requirements into technical configurations within Salsify’s supplier onboarding platform (SupplierXM). This includes defining and configuring data model attributes to support product data exchange between suppliers and retailers in the French market.
  2. Validation Rule Implementation: Design, implement, and test validation rules to ensure all incoming supplier data adheres to GS1 FR standards and specific retailer requirements.
  3. GS1 FR Standards Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert for GS1 France standards, guiding internal teams and external suppliers on compliance best practices for data synchronization.
  4. GS1 Release Support: Analyze and implement upcoming GS1 & GDM releases and other market specific initiatives. Partner with cross functional teams to mitigate impact and build relevant customer enablement.
  5. Process Optimization: Analyze existing supplier onboarding workflows, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements to enhance efficiency, data quality, and the overall supplier experience.
  6. Data Pool interoperability: Proactively ensure interoperability between Salsify and other data pool providers operating in the FR region and help mitigate conflicts.
  7. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with product managers to gather, document, and prioritize requirements for platform enhancements related to data modeling and validation.
  8. Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test cases to ensure configured data models and validation rules function as intended and meet all compliance criteria.
  9. Documentation & Training: Create clear and comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and validation rules. Assist in developing training materials for internal teams, suppliers and retailers.
  10. GS1 Workgroups: Partner with GS1 Standards Analysts to understand upcoming market specific GDSN initiatives. Work with the Salsify GDSN product team to pilot and execute upcoming initiatives.

Skills Required

  1. Fluent in English and French, oral and written is mandatory to effectively communicate with FR suppliers and retailers.
  2. 2+ years experience working with GS1 standards and Product Information Management (PIM) software is preferred.
  3. Knowledge of retail and food service data publication requirements, GS1 GTIN Allocation Rules and GS1 Package Measure Rules highly desired.
  4. GS1 certifications will be an added bonus
  5. Expertise to review and process complex excel documents, and review XML schema preferred
  6. Demonstrated ability to synthesize large quantities of process and technical information and present cogent recommendations to R&D teams

The posted compensation range reflects the base salary for this position. In addition to base salary, some eligible roles may also have a commission plan or a bonus incentive. All Salsify employees receive equity in the form of stock options. All full-time employees are invited to participate in our Total Rewards plan, which includes health & medical benefits, PTO, and more. Offers to join Salsify are based on a few criteria, including the scope of the role, the candidate’s work experience, targeted skills, internal equity of the team, and external market data.
National Pay Range
€28.900€34.000 EUR
