Job Overview:
The Client Strategy Lead (CSL) drives client success through strategic leadership, a comprehensive understanding of marketing, and advanced business acumen. This role leads client strategies and execution for high-value and high-budget brands. The CSL is responsible for providing strategic insights, identifying growth opportunities, and developing big-picture plans that align with both client and agency objectives. The role requires a strong background in media and creative strategy to optimize performance across channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Strategy & Execution:
- Leads strategic planning and execution for high-value clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develops and drives growth strategies that enhance client performance and expand market opportunities.
- Identifies opportunities for innovation and optimization across media and creative efforts.
- Provides strategic insights that drive long-term client success and business growth.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop holistic marketing plans.
Autonomy & Leadership:
- Operates with high autonomy, independently managing client strategy and execution with minimal supervision.
- Exercises moderate autonomy in managing complex issues and projects, consulting with the Director or VP as needed.
- Takes ownership of strategic decision-making at the account level while escalating major strategic decisions to senior leadership.
Business Growth & Development:
- Strengthens relationships with high-value clients, identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts.
- Plays an active role in pitching new business opportunities based on client insights and industry expertise.
- Maintains an advanced understanding of agency services, client needs, and industry trends to drive strategic recommendations.
- Aligns individual client strategies with broader agency objectives to ensure business growth.
Relationship Management:
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with key client contacts and internal cross-functional teams.
- Develops trust with clients by consistently delivering high-quality strategic insights and recommendations.
- Manages relationships with internal teams to foster collaboration and alignment on client objectives.
Communication & Influence:
- Possesses strong presentation and communication skills, effectively articulating complex strategies to clients and internal teams.
- Influences and persuades stakeholders through compelling storytelling and data-driven insights.
- Ensures clear communication of expectations and deliverables to clients and internal teams.
Strategic Insights & Collaboration:
- Gathers and synthesizes client insights to inform and enhance internal media and creative strategies.
- Works closely with creative and media teams to ensure strategic alignment and innovation in campaign execution.
- Translates client feedback and market trends into actionable recommendations for internal teams.
- Supports the development of data-driven creative and media strategies that drive performance and business growth.
