About the Team:

From commercial contracts to compliance matters to corporate transactions, the Legal team leverages its autonomy and abilities to enable the Company to grow, evolve, and succeed.
The role:
In this role, you will lead regulatory compliance efforts across USDA, FDA, and consumer protection laws, ensuring our operations, labeling, and tech platforms meet all requirements. You will handle internal audits, policy development, and training initiatives while managing responses to inspections, recalls, and inquiries. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate legal risks and support compliance in commercial agreements. This position requires a hands-on, strategic legal professional ready to drive impact in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead USDA and FDA regulatory compliance across manufacturing, labeling, product distribution, and tech platforms.
- Support consumer tech compliance—FTC advertising rules, CCPA/CPRA, ADA, consumer protection.
- Lead internal audits and investigations; manage policy development and training best practices.
- Coordinate responses to regulatory agency inquiries, inspections, recalls, and litigation.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams (R&D, Ops, Product, Engineering, FSQA, and People) on regulatory risk mitigation.
- Draft, negotiate, and review vendor and platform agreements with compliance implications.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from accredited law school; admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5–10 years experience in-house or with a law firm.
- Knowledge of, and significant professional exposure to, regulatory compliance work, including consumer-tech compliance frameworks (e.g., data privacy, marketing law) and food safety law.
- Exceptional drafting, communication, and project leadership skills.
- Experience handling agency audits, recalls, enforcement actions, and internal investigations.
Preferred requirements:
- USDA, FDA and/or Data Privacy regulatory experience preferred

All final pay rates will be determined by candidates experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
