Job Description
At HackerRank, we are on a mission to change the world to value skills over pedigree. We are a high-performing, mission-driven team that truly, madly, deeply cares about what we do. We don’t see velocity and quality as tradeoffs; both matter. If you take pride in high-impact work and thrive in a driven team, HackerRank is where you belong.
About the team:
The brand and corporate communications team’s role is to amplify HackerRank’s vision to the world. We are the ones who bring clarity and constant communication to our community of talent and technical professionals. We are all deeply curious about the shifts happening in the AI-era and want to leave our mark on the narrative.
About the role:
We’re looking for a strategic storyteller and high-output content leader to elevate our voice in the AI conversation and build cultural relevance around our brand. You’ll shape and execute a bold content vision—crafting narrative arcs that span from manifestos to billboards, from Sunday podcasts to weekly blogs—and ensure that our thought leadership breaks through the noise.
This is not a role for someone who waits for assignments. We need a builder: someone who lives and breathes modern marketing, works cross-functionally, and owns the end-to-end creation and distribution of content that makes people think, share, and take action.
What you’ll do:
- Amplify our next-gen hiring and upskilling message through landing pages, videos, and presentations
- Define an inspiring content strategy: What we say, where we say it, and why it matters.
- Own the weekly “This Week in AI” podcast/video series, from content planning to production.
- Own distribution across channels—working closely with social, growth, and influencers to amplify reach and resonance.
- Partner with the social and growth teams to align content goals with acquisition and awareness priorities.
You will thrive in this role if:
- You create modern content pieces - no boring webinars or keynotes.
- You are passionate about having an influence on the emerging technology landscape.
- You have a track record of strategy + execution.
- You bring content leadership to the table.
What you bring:
- At least 3 years content development and strategy experience in the field of technology, programming, tech recruiting, and/or the future of work
- A rich portfolio of digital work, spanning large reports, white papers, corporate blogs, news/media commentary, webinars, speaking engagements, and more
- Exceptional editorial judgment and a knack for finding and elevating a story
- Experience building a brand voice and holding standards across the company
- Project management experience required
- [Bonus] Experience with data visualization tools a plus
- [Bonus] Experience with creative/art direction a plus
- [Bonus] Experience designing and/or leading training programs on technical topics a plus
Current base salary range: $110,000 - $140,000. The exact salary may vary based on skills, experience, location, market ranges, and other compensation offered. The salary range does not include other compensation components, commissions (for sales-related roles), bonuses, or benefits for which you may be eligible. Salary may be adjusted based on business needs.

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
