Seeking to hire a Contractor based out of Argentina or Mexico for AI Automation Lead services
About:
Newsela is seeking a highly driven and technically fluent AI Automation Lead based in LATAM to help us streamline and scale our Sales and Customer Success operations using AI. In this hybrid role, you’ll act as both prompt engineer and AI product owner — identifying high-impact automation opportunities, building them using Gemini + Google Workspace and other AI tools, and deploying solutions that save our GTM teams time and money.
Scope of Services:
- Report into Revenue Operations and work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Data, and Marketing teams to help Newsela reduce costs and increase GTM productivity through practical AI
- Identify and prioritize CS and Sales workflows that can be automated with AI (e.g. individual customer analysis, email outreach and follow up, lead generation and qualification)
- Design and build prompt-driven tools using Gemini, Google Sheets, Docs, Gmail, and Slides to build reusable templates, prompt libraries, and internal documentation.
- Utilize AI capabilities in Salesforce, Gainsight, Gong and other GTM tools to feed into Gemini tools and prompts.
- Collaborate with RevOps to measure time savings and business impact
- In collaboration with our Enablement team, train internal users (CSMs, AEs, Sales Enablement) on using AI tools effectively
- Stay up to date on AI capabilities in Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, and similar tools
Skills & Experience:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Deep experience building workflows with Gemini for Workspace or GPT-4
- Strong Google Workspace expertise (Sheets, Docs, Slides automation)
- Comfortable working with Salesforce, Gainsight, and Gong automation and reporting.
- Structured thinker with a product mindset — can scope a use case and execute independently
- (Bonus) Familiarity with Zapier, Apps Script, or Python for light automation
- (Bonus) Previous experience in a SaaS, EdTech, or GTM team
Please note that given the nature of the contract, this role will not be eligible to participate in company-sponsored benefits.

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
