About the Role:

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Controller to build and drive our financial operations. In this critical role, you will leverage your extensive background in accounting and finance to oversee financial reporting, implement efficient systems, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, all while supporting our ambitious growth in the AI sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Tech Stack & Systems: Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems and tools to support scalability and efficiency. Provide expertise on the finance tech stack, ensuring the company has the right systems in place for growth.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Audit & Compliance: Lead the preparation for audits and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Scalability: Support the company’s growth by identifying and addressing financial and operational challenges, including preparing for potential IPO readiness.
  • Vendor Management & Team leadership: fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Manage vendor relationships.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or similar leadership role.
  • Experience in a high-growth tech company is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is required.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of financial systems and tools, with experience implementing and optimizing finance tech stacks.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Our salary bands are structured based on a combination of geographic tiers and internal leveling. Compensation is determined by multiple factors assessed during the interview process, with the final offer reflecting these considerations.

Salary Band
$220,000$270,000 USD
