As the Creative Director you will direct the overall agency/client creative vision. Partner with account leads to conceptually define, develop, and execute superior creative solutions. Establish the highest creative standards and inspire others to reach them.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
- Leadership of creative department, delivering outstanding design solutions for print, digital, and presentation materials
- Translate business strategies and technical requirements into effective cohesive information design solutions guided by client requirements, best practices, and scholastic brand goals
- Communicate appropriate time lines and costs for creative solutions proposed to ensure timely completion of projects, within budget
- Manage design projects from concept to implementation, supervising the design team, outside vendors, and freelance design staff as needed
- Play a leadership role in identifying and championing new technologies and their appropriate application within Precision and for Precision clients
- Contribute to an innovative, collaborative, and positive product development environment
Specific to Art Direction
- Lead creative team in delivery of outstanding design through review and discussion of creative work
- Coordinate all design projects from concept through production
- Measure all client work against corporate/brand guidelines
- Prepare creative deliverables, including best-practice guides
- Present creative concepts internally
- Review materials being released from studio/production to ensure design integrity is maintained and at production standards
- Articulate and champion design principles
Qualifications:
- 10+ years creative leadership experience in an interactive, design, or advertising agency
- BA degree in Art/Design
- Outstanding portfolio demonstrating creative experience in integrated print and digital technologies, including dimensional and interactive design
- Hands-on experience with project deliverables and lead projects from concept to completion
- Experience developing and managing one or more brands, including style guide requirements
- Knowledge of Pharma and/or managed markets industry a plus
- Travel required up to 25%
Skills:
- Ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and develop innovative motion graphics solutions
- Understanding of capabilities and restrictions of technologies in both print and digital design
- Strong design aesthetic and excellent understanding of typography, color, layout, and their role in brand identity and key message communication
Competencies:
- Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to provide multiple creative solutions to a single problem
- Ability to synthesize usability research, customer feedback, and business requirements into consistent and profitable education products
- Experience in building, managing, developing, and evaluating a strong team of creatives, outside resources, and freelancers as well as effective resource allocation
- Must be comfortable with budgeting and estimating costs
