What’s the opportunity?
We are looking for a diligent and proactive Crypto Compliance Project Manager to join our team and act as a crypto expert within the company, especially as a reference from the Compliance, Legal, and Regulatory Affairs division. This role is critical in ensuring our crypto merchants adhere to compliance and regulatory standards, working closely with our Commercial team to onboard new clients, identify and resolve any issues, and act as a crypto content expert within the company. This role would be positioned in our newly formed “crypto squad”, with high exposure and strategic relevance.
- Serve as the main point of contact (PoC) for the commercial team, representing Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, and Legal.
- Support our merchants in onboarding and enhancement processes (special focus on crypto merchants).
- Act as a subject matter expert on all crypto-related topics within dLocal.
- Collaborate with the Traffic Monitoring Team to receive reports on current flows that could pose a higher risk to the Company.
- Engage with merchants to address and resolve compliance and regulatory shortcomings.
- Provide support and guidance to merchants on compliance best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of automated solutions for preventing non-compliant transactions.
- Maintain detailed records of compliance interactions and resolutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, financial services, or payment processing.
- Experience in multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of compliance best practices for crypto.
- Experience with regulatory standards for crypto companies; experience with US regulations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements in cryptocurrency flows and processing.
- Deep knowledge of all crypto-related flows and verticals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with merchants and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Fluent English.
