Job Description

About the Team

DashMart is a new kind of online grocery store owned and operated by DoorDash. Customers order their convenience, grocery and prepared foods in the DoorDash app, and our team members prepare, pick and pack orders in a real, brick-and-mortar store for our Dashers to deliver to our customers with quality and speed. Our customer promise is: Fresh, Local, and Reliable. We’re open early and close late - some sites even run 24/7! Dashmart Kitchens is a team within Dashmart focused on building and operating kitchens to bring fast, affordable restaurant and grocery selection to consumers.

About the Role

Dashmart Kitchens is looking for a people-focused trainer who excels in a fast-paced, remote environment and is excited to roll up their sleeves and lead from the front. In this role, you’ll be helping us launch our Dashmart Kitchens, focusing on training local operators. You'll administer training and ongoing quality audits for multiple restaurant concepts - with the support of our Culinary, Kitchen Operations, and Project Management teams. You will report to the Head of Kitchen Operations.

  • New Dashmart Kitchens Store Launches in the Field - Work hands-on with our Merchant Partners to administer training & support in the field, ensuring all managers and cooks are properly executing our recipes and following procedures.
  • Ongoing Quality Auditing - Perform ongoing Host partnership visits and audits to ensure Hosts maintain consistent high-quality operations.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you...
  • Are passionate about working with people and love to be hands-on training with culinary teams
  • Love helping improve operations and contributing ideas to improve our training quality and onboarding experience based on data and an ever-evolving business.
  • Are passionate about partnering with restaurants to help grow their businesses
  • Have the ability to perform audits and compile & communicate feedback in an effort to improve culinary and operational quality.
  • Love to build processes, playbooks, and can adjust training materials and methods to accommodate onboarding needs.
We’re excited about you because…
  • You're self-motivated, positive, and a team player. You work well with others, but also excel in roles with little oversight - relying on your own drive and self-discipline.
  • You're scrappy. You are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done whether it's digging into a new process to determine how best to communicate it to Host Partners or helping troubleshoot a technical issue.
  • You have 3+ years of experience cooking and managing in a high-volume kitchen environment including fast-casual, QSR, and from-scratch restaurants
  • You have 2+ years of experience in a field training or training development role, ideally with a restaurant group.
  • You have a knack for organization and are proficient in Google Docs/Sheets. You are a data-driven decision maker who is comfortable compiling your findings in documentation that can be shared with the broader team.
  • You are willing to travel and be on-site in dynamic restaurant environments
Why You’ll Love Working at DoorDash

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
