Job Description

At HackerRank, we are on a mission to change the world to value skills over pedigree. We are a high-performing, mission-driven team that truly, madly, deeply cares about what we do. We don’t see velocity and quality as tradeoffs; both matter. If you take pride in high-impact work and thrive in a driven team, HackerRank is where you belong.

About the team:

The Customer Marketing team sits at the intersection of marketing, product, and field driving actions through compelling storytelling and high-impact campaigns. We spotlight our happiest customers, scale their success stories, and create programs that bring the voice of the customer into every stage of the journey. Our work strengthens HackerRank’s reputation in the market.

About the role:

We’re looking for a Customer Marketing Manager to own and execute HackerRank’s customer marketing engine across the world. In this individual-contributor role, you’ll build and scale programs that deepen engagement, strengthen advocacy, and accelerate revenue through persona-driven storytelling and targeted campaigns. You’ll work across teams to create high-impact moments that keep our customers engaged and our field teams empowered.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the customer reference and storytelling pipeline- from sourcing advocates to briefing internal creative/video partners.
  • Partner with Field, Product, and Growth teams to drive ABM plays, event follow-ups, and GTM-aligned campaigns.
  • Develop persona-based nurture programs tailored to the Offices of the CHRO & CTO.
  • Build and scale customer marketing campaigns that drive retention, expansion, and advocacy across the post-sale journey.
  • Measure and optimise programs based on pipeline influence, engagement performance, and customer feedback.

You will thrive in this role if:

  • You excel at building from scratch and turning insight into action.
  • You are passionate about translating customer success into compelling campaigns.
  • You have a track record of running targeted programs that impact pipeline and retention.
  • You bring a builder’s mindset and a performance marketer’s precision to every initiative.

What you bring:

  • 4-6 years of experience in B2B SaaS customer marketing or lifecycle marketing.
  • Proven experience working with enterprise buyer personas - especially CHROs, CTOs, or equivalent.
  • Strong ability to lead multi-channel campaigns, from concept to execution.
  • Comfort working with marketing automation tools like HubSpot, Salesforce & Webflow
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with Field, Product, and Creative teams.
  • Bonus: Experience working with video storytelling, sales enablement, and account-based marketing strategies.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with customer database strategy- ability to assess segments and tailor messaging accordingly

Current base salary range: $120,000 to $150,000. The exact salary may vary based on skills, experience, location, market ranges, and other compensation offered. The salary range does not include other compensation components, commissions (for sales-related roles), bonuses, or benefits for which you may be eligible. Salary may be adjusted based on business needs.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
