The Role
As a Deal Desk Manager at Abridge, you will be pivotal in optimizing the sales process by managing and coordinating complex customer contracts and sales deals. Acting as the central liaison among sales, finance, and legal teams, you ensure that deals are structured to be compliant, profitable, and strategically aligned with the company's Go-To-Market objectives.
What You’ll Do
Become the expert in Abridge’s pricing models, products, and contract terms to assist our Commercial teams with deal structure, quoting, and revenue generation.
Own deal process and operations within our CRM (Salesforce), contract management software (Ironclad), and approvals process
Manage the deal approval process, ensuring efficient coordination and communication among key stakeholders such as finance, legal, and commercial departments to secure necessary endorsements and approvals.
Rigorously review deal proposals, pricing strategies, and contract terms to assess risks, opportunities, and compliance with operational standards.
Identify and implement improvements in the deal desk’s workflows, increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
Use analytical skills to optimize deal structures and discounting strategy for maximum profitability and alignment with strategic goals.
Collaborate with sales team members in identifying and mapping organizational structure for our customers to optimize our engagement strategy
Work closely with sales teams to advise on and refine deal structuring and negotiation tactics, leveraging a deep understanding of market dynamics and common legal constraints.
Maintain meticulous records of deal terms, approvals, and communications, safeguarding the company’s interests.
Empower and equip the sales team with the necessary knowledge and tools regarding deal desk processes through targeted training sessions.
Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements that could impact deal structuring and sales strategies.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in a deal desk, sales operations, finance, or contracts/paralegal role, preferably in a SaaS/software environment.
Strong grasp of revenue recognition principles, financial modeling, and contract management.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, build strong relationships and communicate persuasively to influence outcomes.
Proficiency in Salesforce CRM, Ironclad contract management, and other sales automation software.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work through ambiguity and positively respond to rapid change
Self-motivated and resourceful, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
