Job Description
Community and open source are at the heart of everything we do at Grafana Labs. As a Developer Community Programs Specialist, you’ll take a hands-on role in supporting and growing our open source and developer communities, with a focus on the APAC region.
You’ll help implement programs that empower contributors, foster connections within the community, and guide internal teams on how to engage effectively. This is an execution-focused role for someone who enjoys organising meetups, managing swag and recognition, supporting contributors, and helping evaluate local sponsorships. You’ll also own a few scoped projects each quarter, with the opportunity to lead one larger program annually.
We’re looking for someone who’s a strong communicator, empathetic, resilient, and highly organised—a natural collaborator and problem solver.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise and support community meetups across APAC, including collaboration with local organisers
- Evaluate and execute regional conference sponsorships, including logistics and community presence
- Represent Grafana Labs in online and in-person settings, with travel up to 30%
- Partner with affinity-based communities to explore collaboration opportunities
- Partner with internal teams to enable and inspire their involvement in community initiatives
- Respond to and manage incoming community requests and opportunities
- Provide insights to the broader team by monitoring community health and identifying emerging needs
- Manage swag logistics and recognition efforts for community contributors.
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of experience supporting developer communities at global, regional, or local levels
- 2+ years of experience organising community events such as meetups and conferences
- Compassionate relationship-building skills, especially across diverse communities
- Experience leading projects and improving programs through thoughtful, creative approaches
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail when executing community-facing programs
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to work independently in a distributed team
- Comfortable using tools like Common Room, Slack, and Monday.com (or equivalents) to track engagement.
Bonus Points
- Experience with or participation in open source communities
- Familiarity with observability and/or Grafana Labs technologies
- Proficiency in additional language(s).
In Singapore, the base compensation range for this role is $101,000 - $126,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable), and other benefits listed on our careers page.

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
