Job Summary

About the role
We're seeking somebody to join the team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
Developer Evangelists participate in discussions with external development teams to ensure integration best practices during implementation, and build relationships with various apps and developers.
Through creative developer content, developer evangelists inspire developers to build on Xero’s platform. The developer evangelists team engage with developers through ourdevblog,youtube and more.
Day to day, you’ll help developers leverage Xero’s API to create best in class business solutions. Working alongside other evangelists, product teams, and developer engagement teams in establishing great partnerships and improving the developer experience.
- Onboard new apps into Xero’s app partner program. This may include: answering technical questions from app partners; certifying integrations to ensure they meet our high standards; employing analytical skills and creativity to solve for complex use cases.
- Manage relationships with various app partners through Salesforce, email, and meetings - Aiming to drive awareness of Xero APIs and app partner program.
- Engage and educate developers through videos, blog posts, code samples on Github, and present technical content to developers on webinars and at live events.
- Self motivated and team oriented - Able to work both autonomously and effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills - Ability to discuss technical topics in a clear and concise way, confident in conversations about APIs, accounting and driving commercial success.
- Passion for inspiring developers through creative code and content - Experience with basic video editing and other content creation fundamentals.
- Experience participating in developer communities online or in person (ideally including presenting technical topics to a developer audiencepreferred but not essential).
- Any formal training or understanding of accounting concepts would be highly beneficial.
- Any previous exposure to software engineering would be highly beneficial.
