About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and optimizing persuasive copy that speaks directly to financially sophisticated buyers. Your work will span multiple formats, including VSLs, sales letters, ad copy, scripts, and more, leveraging proven direct response principles to maximize conversions and drive measurable results.
Responsibilities
Write high-converting direct response copy across multiple formats including VSLs, sales letters, emails, ad copy, ad scripts, headlines, and more.
Support the overall business objective of driving net-new revenue by creating persuasive messaging that converts prospects into customers.
Continually test new messaging and angles by researching customer data, competitor strategies, and the key drivers of client decisions—pain points, aspirations, and goals—to expand market reach and uncover untapped audience segments.
Monitor industry trends, economic shifts, and current events, incorporating timely insights into marketing assets to maintain message relevance and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Partner with the marketing team to analyze copywriting performance, implementing data-driven optimizations that directly increase marketing-generated revenue.
Build and maintain an organized swipe file of successful campaigns, proven frameworks, and high-performing copy to inform future projects.
Additional Responsibilities
Write blog posts that drive and convert traffic.
Create lead magnets such as eBooks, guides, and checklists.
Develop scripts and outlines for short-form organic content.
Requirements
You have 5+ years of proven direct-response copywriting experience, ideally within high-ticket information products, professional services or B2B.
You're a skilled communicator who can tailor messaging to resonate with financially sophisticated buyers, demonstrating a nuanced understanding of their business challenges, priorities, and communication preferences.
You are deeply knowledgeable in direct response copywriting principles and techniques, demonstrating a mastery of persuasive writing across a range of formats.
Your portfolio demonstrates a clear track record of creating high-converting copy that has directly contributed to revenue growth.
You thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments, partnering effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious marketing objectives.
