At Pinterest, we’re on a mission to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love, and that starts with the people behind the product.
Discover a career where you ignite innovation for millions, transform passion into growth opportunities, celebrate each other’s unique experiences and embrace the flexibility to do your best work. Creating a career you love? It’s Possible.
We are seeking a leader to run the Monetization team of the business operations function at Pinterest. The mission of the Business Operations team is to assess how well Pinterest’s strategy is delivering enterprise performance and to influence exec-level decisions to evolve strategy and operations accordingly. You will lead a high-performing, high-impact team that partners with key leaders across the organization to provide data-driven insights that accelerate Pinterest’s execution against its strategic roadmap with a focus on monetization and opportunity identification. You will work cross-functionally with key leaders across product, engineering, strategy, sales and finance. You’ll have the real opportunity to put your fingerprints on a unique and dynamic digital ads platform with global reach.
What you’ll do:
- Develop a deep understanding of our overall business and how our different products and go-to-market investments layer into our broader strategy.
- Become a subject-matter expert and partner effectively with key leaders in product, engineering, sales and other critical business areas on their strategic priorities. Help them accelerate execution of their roadmaps through data, insights and frameworks.
- Define critical KPIs for regular reporting, develop forward-looking assessments (forecasts and scenarios), and drive discussions of critical topics with xfn stakeholders.
- Be the primary point person with our leadership team on understanding monetization metrics movements and trends in our consumer product, and provide data-driven insights on nascent business questions.
- Design and coordinate strategic and operational planning processes for key metrics that drive enterprise growth and health.
- Manage a high-performing team who are seen as critical thought partners in their respective coverage areas.
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of experience in a variety of strategic, analytical and operational roles. You thrive on combining rigorous data- driven analysis, strong business and product intuition and judgment, and an ability to work well across a variety of teams to solve complex problems. You’ve likely had Biz Ops, consulting, investing, analytics, growth, and/or product management experience in a prior life. Consumer internet or eCommerce industry experience is a plus, particularly in global businesses with high growth, large scale user bases. Prior experience in digital advertising for businesses is also attractive with a particular emphasis on experience with programmatic advertising.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, etc., or equivalent experience.
- Structured “systems” thinker who also loves the details. When engaging with a problem, you balance a focus on quick wins and actionability with ways to help Pinterest efficiently solve that problem at scale through systems and repeatable processes, and are comfortable getting into the operational details with the analytical, data, product, and engineering teams that you will be closely partnered with to make it happen. You are comfortable with data and have some familiarity with the type of work involved in developing and managing the tools/systems/processes to translate data into digestible information and actionable insights.
- Superior communication and influencing skills. You can move seamlessly between presenting to senior executives and conversing with engineers or frontline ops employees. You have a proven ability to influence without authority and build strong working relationships with business partners; this is a highly cross-functional role, so a low ego and a high instinct for collaboration are musts.
- Proven track record leading and developing world class talent. You can set an ambitious agenda and effectively deliver results through a high-powered team. You will work primarily through managers of others, but are also comfortable engaging directly with Associates and Analysts. You provide the right balance of guidance, coaching, and autonomy in an inspiring and engaging team environment.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

Safe Remote Job Search Tips
Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
