Title: Director of Digital Transformation
Direct Manager Title: Head of Unlock Health Digital Transformation
Location: Open to remote or Hybrid (Nashville, TN or Chicago, IL). Must be based in the United States.
The Role
Unlock Health Digital Transformation is building a best-in-class team to help healthcare organizations realize the full value of their digital investments. As the first hire in this newly established unit, the Director of Digital Transformation will play a foundational role in shaping our future, serving as a senior consultant, strategist, and execution partner to both internal teams and clients.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Digital Transformation Engagements
- Serve as strategic advisor to CMOs, CSOs and marketing leaders within complex health systems to develop and deliver enterprise digital roadmaps, maturity models, and transformation plans
- Create and operationalize playbooks for transformation (e.g., strategic planning workshops, CRM advisory services, marketing operations redesign, marketing attribution development, etc.)
- Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions and ensure that all project milestones and goals are delivered on time, on budget, and within margin targets
- Build Unlock Health Digital Transformation IP
- Help productize consulting offerings, including frameworks, assessments, and reusable assets in conjunction with the Head of Digital Transformation
- Collaborate with Analytics, Media, MarTech, and Creative teams to align cross-functional capabilities
- Segment clients along the "sophistication spectrum" to develop, pilot and scale new digital transformation capabilities
- Act as a Thought Leader & Internal Partner
- Support business development efforts by participating in high-stakes pitches and client conversations
- Mentor junior team members as the team scales
- Evangelize a repeatable model for transformation that blends brand and performance marketing, data, and tech
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and upskilling across Account and Delivery teams
Ideal Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare marketing, digital strategy, or transformation consulting
- Blend of client-side and vendor-side experience, ideally including time at both a healthcare organization and an agency or healthcare technology company
- Deep understanding of healthcare consumerism, MarTech ecosystems, CRM platforms, and data strategy
- Proven success designing and leading complex transformation engagements or large-scale digital initiatives
- Experience interfacing with senior executive stakeholders and facilitating cross-functional alignment
- Familiarity with enterprise CRM systems, including Epic and Salesforce, required
- Familiarity with systems like Adobe or enterprise marketing/analytics stacks a plus
- Comfortable with ambiguity, driven by impact, and excited to build a new practice from the ground up
