About The Team:
LINQ’s Research & Development department is dedicated to driving innovation and continuous improvement across Payments, Nutrition, or Platform teams. Focused on exploring new technologies, optimizing systems, and developing forward thinking solutions, this team plays a critical role in shaping the future of LINQ. Through collaboration, strategic problem-solving, and rigorous testing, they ensure LINQ’s software remains cutting-edge, efficient, and aligned with the evolving needs of our customers.
About The Position:
As a Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality software solutions for the sole purpose of delighting our clients. You will lead and manage several engineering teams who work on various projects across different domains and technologies. You will collaborate closely with the sales, consulting, other Engineering directors, product managers, and customer support to ensure customer satisfaction, project success, profitable accounts, and business expansion.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering teams and ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and methodologies.
- Manage the engineering resources, budget, and schedule for multiple projects and ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Estimate the scope, cost, and timeline of new projects and proposals and prepare statements of work (SOWs) and contracts.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and senior management on project status, risks, issues, and expectations.
- Identify and resolve any technical, operational, or organizational challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Mentor, coach, and develop engineering talent and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the software industry and evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
What We Are Looking For:
- 8+ years of experience in software development, architecture, and design, with at least 3 years of experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
- Experience in project estimation, project management, resource management, and authoring system and architectural designs. .
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, practices, and methodologies, such as agile, scrum, waterfall, etc.
- Skilled in various coding languages, platforms, and tools, such as .NET, C#, Python, SQL Server, JavaScript, React, Angular, Azure, etc.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience working on B2B software products that exist in various stages of the product development lifecycle .
- Experience working with onshore and offshore teams in a blended FTE and contractor environment.
- Expertise in modernizing architecture, infrastructure, and processes to ensure dependable and performant systems.
- Passionate about software engineering, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
