About the role:
As a Director of Sales, you will use first principles thinking to lead, coach, and mentor a team of both Mid-Market Account Executives and Team Leads selling Clipboard Health to prospective customers. You will be directly responsible for owning a revenue number.
What you should expect:
- Build and drive demand strategy at the corporate and regional level in conjunction with senior leadership.
- Actively engage in relationship development, opportunity development, and driving revenue by supporting reps throughout the sales process.
- Work cross functionally with Product, Pricing, Account Management, and Engineering leaders.
- Manage and report accurately forecast and pipeline to the business.
- Hold the team accountable to high quality daily execution.
- Analyze data to maximize existing successes and develop new growth opportunities for further scale.
- Create scalable, data-driven processes and playbooks that enable the team to achieve revenue targets, while maintaining a high degree of “customer-centricity.”
You’re an excellent candidate if:
- You have several years of leadership experience over Mid-Market and Enterprise sales teams.
- You write clearly and easily. You should be comfortable with 10+ pages of clear, analytical writing each week.
- You like to move fast. You plan an experiment and get results within days, not months.
- You are inquisitive. You don’t stop with surface level answers and instead ask “why, why, why” until you understand problems at the root level.
- You frequently “touch reality” to evaluate your team’s performance.

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
