Your Mission:

This is a senior individual contributor role with strategic leadership responsibilities. You'll be foundational in building and scaling Engine’s Flights business unit from the ground up, shaping how we partner with airlines and connectivity providers to deliver exceptional flight content and experiences on our platform. You will not only manage key airline relationships but also help define the operational, commercial, and support frameworks for our flights offering.Identify, negotiate, and secure direct agreements with airlines, including both traditional carriers and LCCs

  • Own and grow strategic airline relationships to drive preferred content, pricing, and access to ancillary services
  • Lead the strategy for establishing Engine’s airline connectivity ecosystem, partnering with GDSs, aggregators, and direct connect providers (e.g., NDC aggregators, APIs).
  • Play a key role in shaping the business model for our flights product, including margin strategies, content prioritization, and ancillary revenue opportunities.
  • Help define and implement the support structure needed for the Flights business (including content troubleshooting, post-ticketing support, and escalation processes).
  • Act as internal subject matter expert on airline distribution models (NDC, interline agreements, etc.)
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure successful technical integrations
  • Represent Engine in industry events and deepen engagement with key airline commercial teams

What You’ll Bring to Engine:

We’re looking for someone who’s ready to make an impact and grow alongside us:

  • 5-10+ years in airline partnerships, distribution, or sales - ideally on the OTA, aggregator, or airline side
  • Deep understanding of airline distribution, fare filing, and NDC standards
  • Experience with technical integrations in airline or travel platforms and a strong ability to work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams.
  • Operational mindset, with experience setting up or optimizing support models for air travel products.Strong commercial acumen with a track record of negotiating high-value partnerships
  • Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally to get complex projects and deals done

Cash compensation: The base salary for this role is starting at a 165,000 to 200,000 base with variable for a total OTE with upside potential based on performance. Final compensation packages are determined by various factors, including prior experience and expertise.
