Director, Talent Acquisition - Corporate + GTM

Job Description

Join Our Journey at Engine

At Engine, we’re revolutionizing work travel. Our modern travel platform isn’t just about booking trips; it’s about transforming how businesses and their teams experience travel. From seamless booking options with top airlines, hotels, and car rental providers to single-invoice billing and flexible trip modifications, we make travel not only easier to manage but also enjoyable. Backed by powerhouse investors like Telescope Partners, Blackstone, Elefund, and Permira, we’re growing fast—and we want you to be part of it.

Your Mission:

We’re looking for a strategic, metrics-driven Director of Talent Acquisition to lead our GTM and Corporate recruiting functions. This role will oversee a team of up to 12, including one Manager, and will be instrumental in scaling our high-performing team through significant growth this year. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-growth, data-focused environment, brings deep expertise in GTM (Sales, Marketing, Account Management) and Corporate recruiting, and has a track record of building scalable systems and driving a high performance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Thinking: Own and drive the full lifecycle recruitment strategy for all GTM and Corporate functions, partnering closely with executive stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and People.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of recruiters and one recruiting Manager, setting goals, providing coaching, and driving performance against hiring targets.
  • Tool Management: Leverage recruiting tools and AI-driven solutions to enhance team efficiency, streamline sourcing, and improve data visibility for informed decision-making.
  • Performance Management: Be highly hands-on with data, KPIs, and performance metrics to proactively track team progress, identify areas for improvement, and drive strategic decision-making in partnership with the business.
  • Stakeholder Management: Partner cross-functionally with People Ops, Compensation, and Hiring Managers to drive clarity, alignment, and consistency across hiring processes. Lead workforce planning in partnership with Finance and department heads to proactively align recruiting resources to business needs.
  • Process Improvement and Scale: Consistently evaluate TA processes and proactively seek opportunities to improve and scale interview training and hiring manager enablement.
  • Program Management: Create Engine’s first ever campus strategy aimed at recruiting recent college graduates and alumni at target schools to build and maintain a strong Sales candidate pool.

What You’ll Bring to Engine:

  • Leadership Experience: 10+ years of experience in recruiting, including 5+ years in recruiting leadership roles, ideally in high-growth tech environments.
  • Ability to Scale: Proven track record leading GTM and Corporate recruiting functions at scale.
  • Team Management: Experience managing and scaling teams of 10+ recruiters, including Managers.
  • Recruiting Tools: Strong familiarity with modern recruiting tech stacks
Data Driven Mindset: Deep understanding of data and analytics in talent acquisition — you know your funnel metrics cold and use them to drive strategy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience working cross-functionally with People, Finance, and senior leadership on workforce planning and hiring prioritization.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
