About the Role

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll be a hands-on leader, expected to write code daily and build features from scratch while laying the foundation for a high-performing engineering team. You’ll join a spectacularly talented team of engineers and take ownership of mission-critical initiatives from initial design to deployment. In addition to your technical contributions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering culture, scaling the team, and mentoring future hires as we grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the end-to-end development of new product features, from database models to UI components.

  • Set technical direction and architect scalable, high-quality solutions.

  • Be an active hands-on contributor, writing production-ready code daily while ensuring code quality and best practices.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and other stakeholders to drive impactful initiatives.

  • Identify, hire, and mentor top engineering talent as we scale the team.

  • Establish engineering best practices, streamline workflows, and maintain the health of our systems and codebase.

  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of execution, ownership, and continuous improvement.

  • Drive large releases to production on a continuous deployment cadence.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience working in a start-up environment.

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in full-stack development, with at least 1+ years in a leadership role.

  • Proven expertise in React, TypeScript, and Node.js.

  • Deep understanding of system design, scalable architectures, and backend development best practices.

  • A track record of building and shipping consumer-facing products with a high degree of ownership.

  • Strong ability to mentor engineers, fostering both technical and career growth.

  • Excellent communication skills to influence product direction and drive collaboration.

  • Extreme bias toward action and execution—you thrive in an environment where you can ship fast and iterate.
