Engineering Manager, Consumer Revenue

This position is US based only.
We’re looking for a technical, hands-on, and mission-focused Engineering Manager to lead our Shop team within our Consumer Revenue org. The Shop team is responsible for building the platform and products for our users to enhance their identity on Discord with premium and unique content. You will be responsible for a major business line and company revenue goals. You will work closely with Product to define the long-term strategy. You will lead a full stack team of engineers working across platforms.
What You'll Be Doing
- Work with Product, Design, Business Development and Marketing to drive your team’s vision and roadmap
- Build a team of engaged full stack engineers by hiring, coaching, and instilling best practices
- Collaborate on designing scalable technical solutions, and help to set the technical strategy of our Shop platform
- Instill a culture that both drives both impactful results and delights the end user
- Use your technical expertise and ensure your team delivers extraordinary results at the high technical level we set
- Make sound first-principle decisions around resourcing, and making the rationale clear to partners and team members
- Partner with your Director on strategic planning and on improving the Engineering organization
What you should have
- You have 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- You have 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager
- You collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineers to define great solutions to business problems
- You take pride in delivering a delightful experience for end users, stakeholders and anyone you work with
- You are motivated to help your team members succeed and have experience growing engineers
- Code doesn't scare you - you are still an engineer even if you don't do it all the time

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000 - $279,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
