The Role:
Halcyon is redefining what security software can do, with a focus on anti-ransomware innovation. We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a 6-10 person cross-platform endpoint development team—delivering next-gen protection for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Responsibilities:

Manage a cross platform Rust development team building for Windows, Linux and macOS

Nurture a collaborative, high-performing team culture

Work with development and research teams to plan, design and deliver features

Offer input on future direction and strategy of the Halcyon endpoint

Estimate and track team progress

Be active in the code review process

Mentor young engineers and future leaders

Develop deep product expertise to guide technical direction and unblock your team

Partner with the sustaining team to resolve customer issues promptly

Coordinate the agent release schedule
Skills and Qualifications:

Experience leading a high-performing engineering team

Experience working in a fully remote environment

Ability to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day team management

Experience in developing commercial or enterprise software in C++ and/or Rust

Proficient with Windows, macOS and Linux

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bonus points for experience with enterprise endpoint software, Jenkins, or Python

Base Salary Range: $210,000 - 260,000
Bonus Target: 10%
In accordance with applicable state and federal laws, the range provided is Halcyon’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity in the Company.
