We’re looking for ahands-on Engineering Manager to lead a team of 6–8 engineers building core platform capabilities usingGo (Golang) andReact. This is aplayer-coach role: you'll lead by example, helping shape architecture and best practices, while also focusing on team performance, mentoring, and execution quality.
As a technology-forward leader, you are passionate about developer productivity and deeply curious about the power ofAI-assisted development. Ideally, you’re familiar with tools likeCursor orGitHub Copilot, you can recognize what’s “AI shaped” problem and you know how to harness these innovations to unblock teams and push velocity to the next level.
You’ll work closely with product, design, and QA to ensure smooth execution of our product roadmap and to meet the rigorous expectations of customers in highly regulated, mission-critical environments.
- Lead a team of backend, frontend and mobile engineers focused on secure, scalable platform development.
- Set clear goals and drive execution on team initiatives aligned with product and business objectives.
- Write code and conduct code & architecture reviews regularly, especially in complex or high-priority projects.
- Guide architectural decisions and technical design discussions across the team.
- Mentor and support engineers in their technical and professional development.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, ownership, and continuous learning.
- Promote modern workflows, including AI-assisted tooling and automation, to improve developer experience and speed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineering teams.
- 3+ years of experience in engineering management roles, plus 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency inGo and/orReact; familiarity with cloud-native architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience managing high-performing teams in a remote-first environment.
- Comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle in production-scale environments.
- Demonstrated interest or experience usingAI-assisted development tools.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego approach to problem-solving.
- Passion for secure software practices, testing, and building high-availability systems.
- This role may require the candidate to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance in the future. As such, applicants must beU.S. citizens andeligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
