Your Role:
As an Product Operation Management Team Lead, you will design, implement, and maintain the tools and systems that streamline Alpaca's back-office operations. These products include internal operational software that supports critical processes such as trade execution, reconciliation, compliance monitoring, and customer support. By improving the efficiency and reliability of these systems, you will enable seamless operations that underpin the success of millions of transactions and ensure a high-quality experience for all stakeholders.
The Product Operation Management Team develops and manages all interactive products within our ecosystem, delivering seamless, high-quality experiences for both internal and external stakeholders. Your contributions will play a vital role in driving our business forward.
We are seeking an experienced engineering leader who thrives on delivering defect-free solutions, has a proven track record of building scalable systems, and is unafraid to challenge conventions. You will have the autonomy to design and implement solutions to meet defined goals while collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape those goals.
Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Growth: Mentor and lead engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and high performance.

Strategic Planning: Partner with stakeholders and engineering/product leaders to define and execute technical strategies.

Process Development and Execution: Establish and enforce engineering processes that align with company policies, data security, and compliance standards while improving efficiency and feature delivery.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to develop elegant, scalable software solutions.

Hands-On Development: Actively contribute to the development of core systems and tools, ensuring high-quality code and scalable architecture while setting an example for engineering best practices.
Who You Are (Must-Haves):

5+ years of full-stack development experience, including 2+ years in leadership or mentoring roles.

Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks like React, with experience in scalable application development.

Hands-on experience with TypeScript, state management libraries, and building scalable web applications.

Experience with GoLang, including API development and backend service integration.

Strong understanding of design systems, UI/UX principles, and accessibility standards.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and CI/CD practices.

Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
