About the role
As an Enterprise Tech Lead, you’ll be responsible for driving large, cross functional outcomes by partnering closely with the mission team, engineering teams, and customer stakeholders. You’ll be own full work streams through requirements gathering, architecture design, technical implementation, and fielding.
In this role you’ll be expected to build relationships with key technical customer stakeholders such as CTOs, ISSMs, and project managers. You’ll own the ATO process for your work, delegate tasks to other engineers, and become an expert in customer workflows.
What you’ll do
- Architect and drive the creation of impactful software solutions deployed directly to our customers, ensuring their mission success.
- Serve as the primary technical leader and representative of Vannevar Labs, engaging with key senior level stakeholders to understand their needs and articulate our technical vision.
- Shape the future of our technology by contributing your expertise and insights to government RFIs, RFPs, Statements of Work, white papers, and our overall technical strategy.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of technical projects, effectively coordinating and delegating tasks across engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.
- Innovate with cutting-edge technology by building software that empowers users to extract meaningful value from our extensive data holdings, including large-scale text, multimedia, and geospatial datasets spanning over 46 languages.
- Elevate our products and expand our reach by writing code that enhances functionality, improves performance, and scales our capabilities to serve more customers and a wider range of applications.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of experts to plan, develop, and deploy sophisticated software features that address critical challenges.
- Engage directly with mission owners and deliver capabilities firsthand through up to 30% travel.
- Spearhead initiatives to acquire and expand critical business opportunities, taking full ownership of the outcome from inception through implementation and delivery.
Qualifications
- Possess 5+ years of progressive experience in Full Stack Development, demonstrating a strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., Postgres), caching technologies (e.g., Redis), object stores (e.g., S3), and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React).
- Proven experience developing and deploying secure software solutions in compliance with the Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Demonstrated ability to integrate with complex government IT ecosystems, including data platforms, Identity and Access Management (IdAM) providers, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, and Cross Domain Solutions (CDSs).
- Track record of collaborating effectively with government IT and program offices to define technical requirements, architect solutions, and plan seamless integrations.
- Experience in engaging directly with end users to understand mission needs, conduct valuable user testing, and incorporate product feedback into the development process.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to thrive in collaborative, interdisciplinary team environments.
What we offer
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $215,000 + equity + 401K match. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, relevant education, and/or training.
