We’re looking for an innovative and multidisciplinary Experiential Designer to concept, design, and help bring to life immersive brand experiences that engage audiences in meaningful ways. This role is ideal for a creative thinker with a strong background in spatial design, visual storytelling, and experience production. You’ll collaborate closely with strategists, producers, and the Creative Director to shape environments that reflect brand narratives and push creative boundaries.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Design and develop concepts for branded physical and digital experiences (e.g., pop-ups, activations, installations, exhibits, retail environments)
- Translate brand strategy and narratives into spatial concepts and design language
- Create 2D/3D visualizations, renderings, mood boards, floor plans, and design decks
- Collaborate with internal teams (strategy, production, creative) and external vendors to ensure design intent is maintained from concept through execution
- Participate in brainstorms, client presentations, and creative reviews
- Stay on top of trends in architecture, technology, and culture to inform new experience design approaches
What you bring to the team:
- 3–5+ years of experience in experiential, spatial, or environmental design
- Proficiency in design and visualization tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Keyshot, Twinmotion)
- Strong understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and production timelines
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills
- Comfortable working across concepting and execution phases
- Experience collaborating with strategists, producers, and fabricators
- A portfolio that showcases innovative and brand-led experiential work
- Experience with AR/VR or interactive technologies (Bonus!)
- Background in architecture, interior design, or industrial design (Bonus!)
- Understanding of event production or scenic fabrication processes (Bonus!)
- Commitment to the mission, vision, and objectives of the organization
At Group Black we believe in leveraging our hiring process as a way to support transparency. The monthly base salary band for this opportunity is $6,000 - $7,000. Our job offer compensation philosophy, which impacts actual compensation, is based on a number of important factors including, but not limited to, internal and market equity, financial budgets, and the individual’s skills, qualifications, experience, and education.
