About the role
Join Mainstay as a Flex Agent (1099 Independent Contractor Agent) and take control of your earning potential while providing essential real estate services. As a contractor, you will complete specific tasks on behalf of our customers, earning compensation based on the work performed. This is an ideal opportunity for licensed real estate professionals looking for flexible work, additional income, or a way to stay active in the industry without full-time commitments.
Mainstay’s Flex Agent Program allows you to leverage your expertise in real estate while maintaining full independence, choosing the tasks that best fit your schedule.

Who You Are
This role is perfect for real estate professionals who:

Are licensed real estate agents – You must hold an active real estate license in at least one state.
Are detail-oriented and reliable – Ensuring all tasks meet Mainstay’s quality standards.

Requirements
Active real estate license in at least one state
Experience in real estate transactions (traditional sales, iBuying, or transaction coordination preferred)
Ability to complete assigned tasks on time and with attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple transactions, and diligent documentation.
Strong technical skills: Salesforce or a similar CRM, G-Suite, Slack, MacOS, and the ability to work in multiple systems simultaneously
An ability to skilfully negotiate, seek the thrill of winning, and never give up
Reliable transportation (for property-related tasks such as Home Check-Ins and Lockbox Installs)
Access to a smartphone and computer for task completion, documentation, and communication
Compensation
As a Mainstay Flex Agent, you will be compensated per completed task, up to $285 per task. Tasks include writing & negotiating offers, CMA creation, Property walk-thrus, weekly property checks & contract to close tasks.
Additional Earning Opportunities
Personal Transactions – Agents assisting their own buyers and sellers will retain 90% of the paid commission, with 10% allocated to Mainstay for licensing and administrative costs.
