Position overview
We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented FP&A Graduate to join our growing Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis, directly contributing to our strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation in a relevant field, a keen interest in data and the crypto space, and a proactive attitude towards learning and development in a dynamic environment.
Our Graduate Programme runs for a period of 12 months giving successful graduates the opportunity to become a full time Xapien once the programme has concluded. This role would therefore be a 12 month contract.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and budgets, learning the underlying processes.
- Assist in the analysis of financial data to identify initial trends and provide supporting insights for business decisions, under guidance.
- Help prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including variance analysis and performance summaries.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial models and forecasting tools, learning best practices.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations for senior management and stakeholders, gaining exposure to executive communication.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required, developing your analytical skills.
- Support the preparation of business cases for new initiatives and investments, learning the financial evaluation process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, focusing on accuracy and understanding data sources.
- Learn to monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to identifying areas for improvement.
- Assist with aspects of the month-end and year-end closing processes, gaining insight into accounting cycles.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes and procedures by identifying areas for learning and suggesting improvements.
Skills needed
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving potential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/ Google Sheets, with a willingness to develop financial modeling and data analysis skills.
- Familiarity with basic financial reporting and accounting concepts gained through academic studies.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to learn to present findings clearly.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive approach.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Genuine interest in fintech and the crypto space, with a desire to learn about the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with financial planning software (e.g., Anaplan), ERP software (e.g., NetSuite), or data software (e.g., Looker) gained through academic projects is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of SQL or other database querying languages learned through coursework is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, with a willingness to learn from others.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new financial skills and knowledge.
- Attention to Detail - demonstrates a methodical approach to tasks and a focus on accuracy.

Consultants joining Xapo Bank must comply with the Xapo Device Policy, which governs the use of corporate-approved laptops under Corporate-Owned, Personally Purchased Device (reimbursed up to $1,500) or Corporate-Owned, Personally Enabled Device (personal device with enforced security controls).
All devices must meet security requirements, enroll in Xapo’s Mobile Device Management (MDM), and adhere to compliance rules. COPPD devices remain Xapo property with buyback options upon exit. COPED users agree to data control measures, including mandatory corporate data wipes.
Compliance with the Xapo Device Policy is mandatory for all consultants, onboarding will not proceed without adherence to the policy.
