The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivatedFull Stack Developer to join ourAutomation Team, focusing on building automated workflows and crawlers that support Optery’s core data privacy services. This role is ideal for a highly skilled developer who enjoys working in fast-paced environments and developing innovative solutions.

As aFull Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing bots that automate data retrieval and processing. You will work alongside experienced engineers, product managers, and leadership to ensure seamless integration with our platform. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to explore and integrategenerative AI technologies to enhance automation workflows, enabling greater scalability and efficiency.

This is afully remote position,based in Latin America (LATAM).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize web crawlers, automation tools, and workflows.

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code inNode.js.

  • Implement and integrateAPIs with third-party services.

  • Optimize bot performance to ensure scalability and efficiency.

  • Debug and resolve technical issues related to automation and web scraping.

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and propose technical solutions.

  • Ensure security and compliance best practices are followed when handling user data.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer building web applications.

  • 2+ years of experience withNode.js in a meaningful project.

  • Strong understanding ofasynchronous programming andevent-driven architecture.

  • Experience withweb scraping, web crawlers, and automation tools.

  • Knowledge ofdatabases (PostgreSQL, SQL, NoSQL such as Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB).

  • Understanding ofuser data security best practices.

  • Experience working withREST APIs and third-party integrations.

  • Basic knowledge ofHTML,CSS, and front-end development.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience withPuppeteer for web automation and scraping.

  • Experience withgenerative AI technologies and using them to enhance workflow automation.

  • Familiarity withPython andDjango.

  • Familiarity withRabbitMQ,Kafka, or other event brokers.

  • Familiarity withKubernetes,AWS,GCP, orAzure.

Location

This is aremote-first position, based inLatin America (LATAM). Optery is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, but operates as a fully-remote global team.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $60K - $85K (depending on experience)

  • Paid time off policy

  • Stipend for home office setup
