Job Description

Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

Job Type: Full-Time

First 6 months: Full-time on-site

After 6 months: Hybrid work model

Long-term potential: Fully remote opportunity, subject to performance and team needs

Pay: RM3,100.00 (First six months)

RM4,000- RM10,000.00 per month (After six months, Depends on the number of classes you take and teaching performance)

Teaching hourly rate:RM60-RM90

Role Description:

  • This is a full-time, on-site role for a Math Teacher during the initial training and probation period. Upon meeting performance expectations, teachers may transition into a hybrid work model after 6 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engaging online math lessons using the Think Academy Teaching Platform.

  • Deliver effective instruction based on Think Academy’s curriculum and teaching guidelines.

  • Create a positive and inclusive virtual classroom environment for up to 20 students, encouraging interaction and collaborative learning.

  • Regularly track and evaluate student performance, offering timely and personalized feedback to both students and their parents.

  • Review and grade assignments, providing additional academic support when necessary.

  • Take part in other teaching-related tasks, such as administering diagnostic assessments for new students.

Qualifications:

  • Open to graduates with a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably those who graduated in 2021 or later.

  • Preferred Majors: All academic backgrounds are welcome.

  • Teaching Experience: Previous experience teaching mathematics is not required but considered an advantage. Background in elementary math competitions is also a plus.

  • English Proficiency: Strong command of English in all areas—reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Candidates must be able to communicate ideas clearly and effectively, ensuring smooth interaction with students and colleagues.

  • Passion for Education: Must have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and working with children, along with a strong sense of responsibility. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building meaningful relationships with students and parents.
