Job Description

Position: Medical Doctor Clinical Moderator and Clinical Escalation
Manager: Christy Beyer, MD, Medical Director
Employment type: 1.0 FTE (40 hours / week)
Compensation: $110 / hour (W2, employed, exempt)
Working hours: Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays and Sundays, 10am - 7pm Pacific Time.

We accept most major PPO insurance products, and we offer convenient access to clinical care through telehealth visits, 24/7 messaging, and responsible prescribing of medications, supplements, and other therapies.

We’re passionately focused on improving the symptoms of women’s midlife hormone change because the current system too often leaves women misdiagnosed and undertreated. At Midi, we’re changing that.

We are an entirely virtual company, so clinicians can work from anywhere in the United States.

Overview

We’re seeking a subject matter authority in the care of women in midlife to join our rapidly growing telehealth practice to act as a moderator for clinical questions and escalations. Reporting to the Medical Director, this position will be responsible for the continuous improvement in patient care through supporting our clinicians.

This position requires a 30-minute maximum response time during shifts assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Moderate Clinical Slack Channels
    1. Respond to questions within 30 minutes
    2. Identify trends and insights to share with appropriate teams
  • Patient Care
    1. Patient visits
    2. Escalated patient visits
    3. DEA visits
  • EHR Patient Case Support
    1. Timely review of patient cases, critical lab escalation, and any time sensitive inbox management
    2. Availability to answer concerns via phone calls to patients and perform time sensitive patient visits as needed
    3. Inbox coverage
  • Participation in Doc of the Day
  • Care Delivery Support
    1. Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure high-quality patient care via clinical guidelines and protocols
  • Accountable to Medical Director
    1. Inform and consult the Medical Director of clinical concerns, educational opportunities and safety events
  • Patient Advocacy
    1. Includes ensuring the team has the necessary support to deliver optimal patient care
  • Maintain currency of knowledge
    1. Includes expertise in all Midi/IWC clinical protocols, formulary, clinical operations
  • Quality & Safety
    1. Identify any themes related to quality and safety improvement opportunities

Qualifications

  • Board Certified MD or DO
  • Minimum of five (5) years perimenopause/menopause experience
  • Formal training in either Longevity Medicine and/or Functional / Integrative Medicine
  • At least two (2) years of telehealth experience
  • At least five (5) years of direct patient care in the last five years
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with an emphasis on clarity and compassion
  • Multi-state licensing with ability to obtain 50 state licenses, with all state licenses being in active, unrestricted and unencumbered status
  • Minimum of five (5) active state licenses
  • Highly proficient and efficient with technology
  • Team-oriented
  • Talent for achieving consistency across clinical team

Working Conditions

  • Working hours: Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays and Sundays, 10am - 7pm Pacific Time.
  • This position primarily operates in a virtual or remote setting, requiring access to reliable internet connectivity.
  • This position primarily involves sitting for extended periods.
  • This position requires the physician to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Flexible scheduling may be necessary to accommodate patient needs across different time zones or during evenings and weekends.
