Job Overview:

We’re looking for a creative, digitally-savvy Graphic Designer to join our in-house creative agency, where you’ll help shape the visual voice of our brand across digital and social platforms. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design engaging, conversion-driven content that brings our brand to life, whether it’s a dynamic Instagram story, a high-impact email, or a fresh visual campaign. Your work will directly support Ashley Home, our parent company, giving you the opportunity to influence one of the most recognized names in home furnishings. This is a great fit for a designer with a strong foundation in e-commerce or DTC environments who thrives in a fast-paced setting, loves turning strategy into standout visuals, and is always thinking about what’s next. If you're passionate about storytelling through design, curious about consumer behavior, and excited to work in a collaborative, high-growth environment, let’s talk!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Design visually engaging content across digital touchpoints including social media, email marketing, paid media, and web to elevate brand presence and drive engagement
  • Use Figma to develop and collaborate on design concepts, ensuring consistency across platforms and alignment with brand guidelines
  • Partner with copywriters, marketers, and social teams to create compelling, on-brand creative content
  • Incorporate motion design into digital assets to bring campaigns to life and enhance user interaction
  • Edit and retouch product and lifestyle imagery to produce high-quality, scroll-stopping visuals
  • Repurpose existing assets in fresh, creative ways through editing, compositing, and thoughtful layout
  • Leverage AI tools and stock resources to generate new imagery when original content isn’t available
  • Create quick-turn design assets for real-time social media moments and trending opportunities
  • Monitor performance of creative content and use insights to iterate and improve future design output
  • Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging best practices in digital design
  • Maintain a well-organized asset library and ensure efficient file management for cross-functional team access

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional design experience, with a strong emphasis on digital content creation for e-commerce, DTC, or lifestyle brands
  • A portfolio that demonstrates elevated design aesthetics, compelling digital campaigns, and motion design capabilities
  • Proficiency in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Solid understanding of best practices across major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Exceptional eye for typography, layout, color, and emerging design trends
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with quick turnarounds
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to accept and incorporate feedback with professionalism and creativity
  • Passion for home furnishings, interior design, and lifestyle-focused content
  • Experience with UI/UX or mobile app design is a plus
  • Familiarity with print design and production processes is a bonus

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
