The Group Product Manager, Growth position will report to the Chief Product Officer.
As the Group Product Manager Growth, you will:
- Drive experimentation on our product funnels to optimize funnel performance and maximize the number of customers who originate a loan with Earnest.
- Based on customer insights, define our strategy and execute a product strategy to engage and nurture customers who are not yet ready to become Earnest customers, but will be in the future.
- Partner with peers on the engineering, data and marketing teams to ensure that we have a strong foundation for testing, personalization and funnel optimization.
- As we launch new products, drive engagement and cross-sell from existing Earnest customers.
- Develop APIs and embedded experiences that can drive growth from partners who serve similar customer bases.
- Lead and develop a small team of PMs as a player/coach.
About You:
- 7+ years launching and growing a successful consumer digital lending or fintech product.
- 2+ years experience leading a team of Product Managers.
- Experience optimizing an online customer acquisition funnel with multiple channels and products.
- Experience growing engagement from an existing base of customers, and finding ways to cross-sell and monetize that engagement.
- A data-driven philosophy, which influences what you build and when you pivot.
- Deep experience setting up, running, and measuring A/B tests.
- Ability to manage and continuously optimize a testing roadmap based on opportunity size, customer insights, data analysis, and learnings from testing.
- Has integrated martech infrastructure into an experience to enable growth through marketing and/or sales channels.
- An entrepreneurial mentality, with the desire to change the world and an impatience to get there.
- An ability to think strategically and see the big picture, but obsessed with the details of the customer experience, never missing an opportunity to benefit customers.
- Executive presence with cross-functional team members of all levels, including C-level.
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
Even Better:
- Experience with sophisticated testing methodologies such as contextual, multi-arm bandits.
- Experience launching growth features or freemium offerings from 0-1.
- Experience partnering closely with a marketing team to open up new distribution channels.
- Experience building embedded product experiences with partners.

- This role will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- While you’ll enjoy the flexibility of remote work, we also love to see our Earnies face-to-face! We ask you to join us at our Oakland office for 3 consecutive days a month for team collaboration and some fun. It's a chance to connect, share ideas, and maybe even grab some coffee together!
