Job Description

FreeWill is an award-winning, social-good startup that has partnered with 2,200+ nonprofits who support our mission while generating $12B in gift commitments for nonprofits since we were founded in 2017. We’ve been featured in the New York Times, Forbes, Oprah’s magazine, and our co-CEOs have even been named to Town & Country’s “Top 50 Philanthropists” list.

All of this is because we’ve figured out how to make some powerful (but complicated!) ways to donate much easier and more accessible. Our products make things easier for the donors who want to change the world and for nonprofits doing heroic work around the planet.

In the last 8 years, we’ve grown from 5 people to 200+ (all smart, tenacious, and kind), and continue to grow. We’d love to have you be a part of this adventure. In 2024, we were named a "Most Loved Workplace" by both Newsweek and Best Practice Institute and in 2025, we were named as one of Forbes' Best Startup Employers and the 2025 Most Loved Workplaces® for Diversity; you can also check us out on Glassdoor! Full-time • Excellent Benefits • Work from Anywhere in the US (except AL, CO, or LA)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Growth Campaign Manager with experience designing and executing multi-channel inbound and outbound campaigns using automation tools and agentic SDR platforms. This role will focus on building campaigns and messaging that engage prospects and generate qualified leads for SDR follow-up. You’ll collaborate closely with the sales, RevOps, product marketing, and demand gen teams to ensure the right message reaches the right audience at the right time.

This role is fully remote and will report to our Director of Demand Generation.

FreeWill has set compensation and a non-negotiation policy for fairness reasons (we don't think that an individual's pay should be determined by how comfortable they are negotiating). As a result, we like to be transparent and up front about the compensation. In alignment with our commitment to salary transparency, the expected salary range for this role is $90,000–$100,000 for someone with 3-5 years of experience, while those with 5+ years of experience may be considered for offers between $100,000–$110,000, depending on skills and fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own campaign execution for outbound and inbound marketing motions using Outreach, HubSpot, 6sense, ZoomInfo, and similar tools (with support from our internal AI team as needed).
  • Work with the internal AI team to build and maintain automated workflows that engage prospects across channels and surface qualified leads for SDR follow-up
  • Align with sales leadership on outbound priorities by channel, segment and sector
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to align messaging, positioning, and offers across touchpoints.
  • Build and optimize compelling, high-performing sequences that leverage demand gen content and resources (e.g. webinars, toolkits, case studies).
  • Partner with Sales to define SDR triggers and handoff processes that maximize conversions.
  • Partner with the demand generation team to optimize ABM campaigns for target accounts and event outreach, ensuring efforts are integrated and deliver a cohesive experience across all touchpoints.
  • Track key performance metrics (response rates, conversion to meeting, lead quality) and make data-driven optimizations.
  • Test and iterate constantly to improve campaign performance and unlock scalable growth.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in B2B demand generation, growth marketing, or campaign management
  • Natural storyteller with superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with marketing automation and sales engagement tools (HubSpot, Outreach.io, Clay, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of outbound strategy and ABM
  • Ability to interpret campaign data and make fast, iterative improvements
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across Sales and Marketing
  • Comfortable using AI-powered tools and exploring new tech to improve efficiency
  • Detail-oriented and a self-starter

Hiring Process

The hiring process for this role is as follows:

  • Recruiter Phone Screen (30 minutes)
  • Hiring Manager Interview (30 minutes)
  • Work Sample (on your own time; 60 minutes maximum)
  • Final interviews with 3 FreeWill team members (3 separate 30 minute interviews)
  • Offer (contingent on positive references)

Please note that steps in the hiring process can and may change and the Recruiter will be your point of contact in sharing any updates in terms of the process. If you are selected to move forward in this process, the Recruiter will share more details about the hiring process and interviewers. However, this is a good estimate of what you can expect. For most roles, our hiring processes take an average of 4-6 weeks.

Benefits

In addition to the immense personal and professional satisfaction you’ll gain from helping to raise $1T for high impact nonprofits in a kind and joyful work environment, full time employees at FreeWill are eligible for the following benefits:

  • Work from home
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Flexible hours
  • Competitive salary
  • Commuter benefits
  • Company stock options
  • 401k
  • Medical/Dental/Vision (some single coverage medical plans are 100% employer paid, subsidized rates for spousal, parent-child, and family coverage)
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance
  • Life and AD&D insurance
  • Free One Medical membership
  • Paid parental leave for all parents

Perks

  • Regular (virtual) team events
  • $250 monthly co-working budget which can be used for local co-working spaces
  • $300 annual budget to outfit your home office or cover utility bills
  • $1,000 referral bonuses for growing our FreeWill community
  • $1,000 annual professional development budget

FreeWill is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity. We are committed to finding talent that is not determined on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

We are a remote-first company that’s able to hire in 47 states and D.C. Unfortunately, we are unable to hire in Colorado, Alabama, or Louisiana at this time. We also can’t sponsor working visas, so all applicants will need to have work authorization in the US.

Don’t check off every box in the requirements listed above? Please apply anyway! Studies have shown that marginalized communities - such as women, LGBTQ+ and people of color - are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. FreeWill is dedicated to building an inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible workplace that fosters a sense of belonging – so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to still consider submitting an application. You may be just the right candidate for this role or another one of our openings!

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
