Job Description

Growth Marketer

GoodParty.org is looking for an innovative Growth Marketer or Senior Growth Marketer with 5+ years experience and an expertise in paid campaigns (SEM, display, and paid social) who’s ready to run experiments and build a learning machine to disrupt the status quo in American politics.

AboutGoodParty.org:

GoodParty.org is on a mission to make people matter more than money in our democracy by empowering independent candidates to run, win, and serve. Our AI-powered platform provides free tools to independent candidates to run their campaigns, connect with voters, and serve their communities effectively.

A majority of eligible voters, including more than half of Millennials and Gen Z, say that neither Republicans nor Democrats represent them.GoodParty.org is the solution. In 2024 we empowered 3,444 independent candidate wins across 48 states from all across the ideological spectrum. The only things our elected officials have in common is that they prioritize people over parties and community over corporate interests. In 2024, 40.3 million votes (26% of all voters) cast a ballot for our candidates. We’re not a political party, we’re a platform and a movement to democratize democracy.

Founded by serial entrepreneur Farhad Mohit ($1B+ in exits, including Flipagram/TikTok and Shopzilla),GoodParty.org is building solutions so we can have a truly representative democracy where society’s biggest problems are solved.

What you’ll do:

  • Create and execute iterative and nimble demand generation campaigns and paid growth initiatives to bringGoodParty.org to new audiences.

  • You’ll be the point person for running paid media campaigns to identify and convert candidate users, including SEM, display, paid social, programmatic, and experimental channels.

  • Build out our ICP for paid search and paid social and experiment our way to dialing in our target audience. You’ll be on the front lines of finding product-market fit.

  • Work with our Director of Growth and Product Marketer to refine messaging for our candidate personas and persuade them to use our tools.

  • Work collaboratively with peers and other teams, such as assisting sales with lead generation campaigns, executing retargeting playbooks with the Marketing Operations Manager, creating a visual testing framework with our design team, and creating wraparound campaigns alongside our content marketers.

  • Consistently track and transparently report on metrics, including successes, failures, and learnings. Create dashboards and documentation of test results to build our learning machine.

  • Help manage marketing operations for Hubspot. Support the wider team with campaigns, platform architecture, automations, and data cleanliness.

  • Maintain, update, and improve the paid marketing analytics architecture within our existing stack - Segment, Amplitude, VWO, and Hubspot. Ensure tracking is working alongside new product releases and guard for data integrity.

  • Research and experiment with novel growth tactics, focused particularly on new AI tools.

  • Report to the Director of Growth who has a B2B growth marketing background, with opportunity for mentorship.

Who we’re looking for:

  • You’re up for the audacious challenge of transforming our democracy forGood.

  • You’re a quantitatively driven growth marketer who thinks in terms of experiments. You love figuring out how to test your way toward bigger swings and impactful results.

  • You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience creating winning paid growth experiments for a high growth B2B SaaS. B2C experience is also welcome.

  • You’ve marketed something from scratch or worked at an early or growth stage startup.

  • You enjoy projects with unknowns and are quick to pivot when the need arises or a better path emerges. You’re a pace setter who loves having multiple experiments running at a time.

  • You’re an expert ad buyer on multiple platforms (SEM, paid social, newsletter/podcast/influencer) and have experience working with multiple types of inventory and ad formats.

  • You have a deep understanding of keyword and market research and can introduce novel approaches to our current paid mix of direct response search intent and paid social.

  • You are able to juggle many paid campaigns at the same time and it’s second nature for you to monitor and optimize these on a daily basis.

  • You’re a fast learner and you’re fluent at using AI tools to be more effective and efficient at your craft.

  • You’re bringing a trick or two up your sleeve from day one and are looking for ways to stay ahead of the curve on the latest growth tactics.

  • You’re a clear and effective written and verbal communicator. You are skilled at writing compelling copy for customers and prospects.

  • You’re organized and methodical about your approach to growth marketing. When asked about a campaign’s success or failure, you know your numbers and have strong documentation of test results.

  • 100% coverage of health, dental, and vision benefits for you and your dependents.

  • We encourage you to take time off to recharge and have an unlimited PTO (sick and vacation) policy. This is a marathon, not a sprint. We believe a work-life balance is needed to get there.

  • We’ll make sure you’ve got what you need to work remotely through our workspace setup stipend.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
