What’s the opportunity?


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Data with expertise in AWS (Amazon Web Services) and GCP (Google Cloud Platform) to lead our data management and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud-based data solutions, data architecture, and a proven track record of driving data-driven decision-making within an organization.

What will I be doing?
  • Data Strategy and Leadership:Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that supports overall business objectives and ensures alignment with company goals. Champion the strategic vision for data usage and analytics, promoting adoption and understanding across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic Data Architecture Oversight:Guide and oversee the design and optimization of robust, scalable data architecture, ensuring data availability, integrity, and security. AI-Driven Data Analytics and Insights: Integrate AI and machine learning models into analytics solutions to enhance predictive capabilities and deliver actionable insights. Leverage AI-driven tools to automate data processing, improve decision-making, and identify emerging trends and opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AI models align with business objectives and demonstrate measurable impact.
  • Business-Driven Data Analytics:Lead the creation and continuous improvement of analytics solutions to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. Work closely with business, especially Product teams, to identify and prioritize data-driven opportunities and effectively demonstrate measurable business impact.
  • Executive Stakeholder Management:Regularly engage with senior management, including C-Level and Heads of Product, to present strategic insights, report on initiative progress, and showcase clear impacts on the business. Effectively manage expectations and articulate the strategic value delivered by data initiatives.
  • Vendor and Cost Management:Evaluate and manage vendor relationships, ensuring efficient use of external partnerships. Oversee and optimize data infrastructure costs, focusing on cloud services efficiency in collaboration with Platform leadership.
  • Data Governance, Security, and Compliance:Develop and enforce robust data governance frameworks to maintain data quality, compliance, and security. Collaborate closely with InfoSec to ensure data security standards and compliance with privacy regulations are consistently upheld.


What skills do I need?
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Deep understanding and familiarity with AWS and GCP services, especially at a strategic oversight level.
  • Demonstrated success in leading strategic data initiatives, ideally in cloud migration contexts.
  • Proven track record managing executive-level stakeholders and effectively communicating complex data initiatives clearly and persuasively.
  • Exceptional skills in fostering team cohesion, collaboration, and breaking down functional silos.
  • Experience in implementing AI and machine learning solutions to drive business insights and operational efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of AI frameworks, tools, and platforms, with a focus on integrating them into existing data ecosystems.
