In this role, you’ll be in charge ofday-to-day operational oversight, managing the teams in charge of recruiting ops, tracking operational metrics, AR/AP and bookkeeping, as well asstrategic financial leadershipalongside an bookkeeping team and a fractional CFO.This is perfect for someone who’sexcelled in an ops roleat a B2B company, has touched finance, and is now ready to leadcompany-wide operations.
The Role
You’ll serve as a key partner to the CEO, owning our operational health while ensuring that our finances run smoothly. You’ll manage a team of 5 direct reports, who manage another 15. Your goal is to help leadership make smarter decisions through data, planning, and streamlined processes.This is a job for someone who wants to one day become a COO,whether here or elsewhere.
What You’ll Do
Operational Oversight
Oversee Recruiting operations, driving process efficiency and alignment with account management.
Lead project management for process improvements, tool rollouts, and automation initiatives.
Develop, document, and improve internal processes across teams to support efficient, scalable growth.
Build and maintain business dashboards to track recruiting, financial, and operational KPIs.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing to align on growth strategy, forecasting, and operational capacity.
Automate and streamline workflows using Zapier, HubSpot, ClickUp, and Slack.
Financial Leadership
Own budgeting and forecasting, building models that support growth, profitability, and efficiency.
Manage the Bookkeeping and AR/AP team, ensuring accurate invoicing, collections, and clean financials.
Lead pricing strategy, evaluating cost structures, market trends, and margin opportunities — collaborating with a fractional CFO, when needed
Analyze cost drivers and ROI across teams and tools; recommend optimizations to improve margins.
Review and interpret monthly financials (bookkeeping handled by your team); deliver insights to leadership.
Build dashboards in Google Sheets/Excel for real-time visibility into revenue, expenses, and performance.
Who You Are
5-8 years of experience with at least 3 years in a B2B company where you managed an operations team, with at least 5 direct reports and 10 indirect reports
At least 2 years of experience working in or touching finance
Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting; expert-level in Google Sheets/Excel.
Tech-savvy — you’ve worked with HubSpot, ClickUp/Asana, Zapier, and similar tools.
A strategic thinker and hands-on doer — you see the big picture but aren’t afraid to get into the weeds.
Excellent communicator who can present operational and financial insights clearly and concisely.
You’ve worked in recruiting/staffing, SaaS or b2b services
You’re excited to take a cognitive exam in math, verbal, and attention to detail.
You speak quickly. This is non-negotiable.
