Job Description

***This is 100% remote opportunity, working East coast hours.***

On behalf of our client, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems with goals related to patient care, access, treatment processes, patient identification, and ultimately to improve the end user’s experience.

As a Health IT Specialist, you will provide support to the healthcare team; physicians, clinicians, pharmacists, healthcare workers, affiliates, and partners by providing education on EHR functionality, patient care gaps, workflow, and identifying opportunities for clinical information system improvements.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct EHR workflow assessments with Institutional customers in order to address patient care gaps in the EHR
  • Assist priority IDN’s, Health systems, and organized medical groups in identifying potential gaps/barriers within EHR systems
  • Problem solve and provide potential approved solutions meant to resolve EHR gaps
  • Works collaboratively with customers including end users, licensed clinicians, IT, informatics team, EHR Manager and analyst to ensure patient safety gaps are identified as it pertains to pharmaceutical products
  • Align resources in order to develop comprehensive plans by priority institution
  • Develop and Implement comprehensive customer specific plans
  • Will act as matrix team Health IT Specialist subject matter expert to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for identification and sharing of Health IT insights with appropriate stakeholders (Marketing/Access/Sales)
  • Provide education on approved EHR optimization resources in order to address gaps in patient care including Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency Department

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required;
  • Minimum of 5 years working in design, build, and/or testing expertise and experience with EHR software, including: Epic Beacon, Oracle Health, iKnowMed, OncoEMR tech, preferred; and/or within a Health System informatics group or team at leadership level, or similar role within a pharmaceutical company required

Qualifications:

  • Clinical IT experience, Pharmacy IT, or Clinical Informatics, preferred
  • In depth knowledge of healthcare and Clinical Informatics, interoperability, software build (including PACS), and/or optimization techniques
  • Ability to discover issues, prioritize and problem solve to resolution
  • Identify potential gaps/barriers within EHR systems at priority IDNs and Health Systems
  • Team player with the willingness/ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude, flexibility
  • Ability to consistently travel overnight

Preferred:

  • Pharm. D, or Master’s degree

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
