Job Description

We are seeking a security-minded infrastructure engineer to lead key efforts to help secure, simplify, and scale our systems. River primarily uses Google Cloud but has a number of on-premises systems.

River is headquartered in Columbus, OH, and has raised more than $50 million from leading investors, including; Goldcrest, Kingsway, Polychain, M13, DG, and Valor.

What you will be doing

  • Building the systems that power the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of our software services

  • Leading projects to improve security, availability, reliability and scalability across our infrastructure

  • Creating and executing on disaster recovery plans

  • Participating in on-call rotations

  • Shaping the culture of the infrastructure organization for years to come

What we look for in you

  • You have at least 3 years experience in a DevOps, Infra and/or SRE role

  • You have a deep understanding of computer and network security

  • You have experience running Kubernetes in production

  • You have hands-on coding ability

  • You are highly proficient with Google Cloud Platform services like GKE, CloudSQL, LoadBalancing, CloudArmor, Networking, BigQuery, Compute and Security services

  • You have strong network perimeter defense and analysis skills

  • You are familiar with supporting engineering teams in a collaborative and productive way

  • You take ownership of the systems you build

  • You have experience developing solutions to ambiguous problems

  • You're excited about what we are building at River

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Location & Salary

  • 100% remote option available within the United States. with offices in SF, NYC, and Columbus

  • Salary range between $150,000 - $220,000 based on skills and experience
